To: Members of Coolum HeARTs Inc.
It is with immense pleasure and gratitude that I present this President's Report for Coolum HeARTs Inc. It has been a dynamic and fulfilling period for our organisation, marked by continued growth, vibrant activities, and an unwavering commitment to fostering creativity and community spirit in Coolum.

First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible committee members – Viv, Jamie, Diane, and David – for their tireless dedication, strategic thinking, and unwavering support. Their commitment to Coolum HeARTs is truly inspiring and makes my role as President a genuine joy.
This past year has seen some significant milestones and achievements. We celebrated the grand re-opening of our renovated shed in 2024, which has provided us with an even more user-friendly and inviting space for all our activities. The positive feedback from members and participants about the extended floor space and improved facilities has been truly rewarding.
Our core mission of providing low-cost access to arts, music, and life skills for everyone in the community continues to thrive. We've witnessed a remarkable increase in participation across our diverse range of activities, from drumming and choir sessions at the Uniting Church to various art workshops held at our shed. It's truly heartwarming to see so many individuals discover new talents, connect with like-minded people, and experience the joy of creative expression. I'm pleased to report that our membership to date for 2025 stands at 147 members and 5 agencies, a testament to our growing reach and impact.
A highlight of the past period was the successful Trivia Night run by our Treasurer, Vivien Collins. It was an evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of friendly competition, demonstrating the strong social fabric we continue to build within Coolum HeARTs. We also held a series of successful street stalls, thanks to the generosity of Clive Holden and another anonymous member who donated artworks and a whiskey bottle for raffles, raising vital funds for our programs.
Key Updates & Future Initiatives
Our collaborations with other local community groups have also been instrumental in our success. We were delighted to assist the Coolum Lions with their annual Friday night markets at Tickle Park, and we are grateful for their generous donation of $3000, which greatly supports our initiatives.
Vivien will be attending an upcoming Lions meeting to further strengthen this valuable partnership. We are also excited to announce that we'll be participating in the Christmas Markets, a wonderful opportunity to showcase our talents and connect with the broader community.
On the facilities front, we are actively addressing the need for improvements. Vivien will be writing to the Sunshine Coast Council (SCC) to request the sealing of our driveway, which will greatly enhance accessibility and safety. Additionally, we are looking into the water meter repair, with David checking on this for us.
Our events continue to be a fantastic success.
The "Sing Out Sister" event was a triumph, generating a profit of $1000+ – an incredible achievement! We've also locked in future dates, with Mental Health Week "Sing Out" scheduled for October 12th at the Coolum State School, and a new "Sip and Smash" event on Saturday, July 26th.
The "Chony Films" shoot went extremely well, and we're looking forward to their film screening at the Civic Centre on October 12th as well.
Looking ahead, we are incredibly excited about the upcoming Coolum HeARTs Art and Music Festival on August 17th, 2025, at the Coolum Civic Centre. This event promises to be a spectacular celebration of local talent and creativity, and we'll be organizing a raffle at the door to raise funds
Our Term 3 calendar of events is now released on our Facebook page and website, and we encourage all members, and potential new members, to explore the exciting opportunities available. Whether you're looking to rekindle an old passion or discover a new one, Coolum HeARTs offers a welcoming and supportive environment.
Finally, I want to reiterate our ongoing need for volunteers. As our organisation grows, so does the shared workload. While these are volunteer positions, they offer the chance to be part of an established team that genuinely loves what we do. Fresh thinking and new ideas are always welcome to help shape the future of Coolum HeARTs. Please reach out to Viv, if you are interested in contributing your time and skills. Phone 0478 646 330
On behalf of the entire Coolum HeARTs Inc. committee, I extend our deepest gratitude to our facilitators who bring our activities to life, our dedicated volunteers who support both facilitators and participants, and of course, our wonderful members and their carers who form the heart of the Coolum HeARTs family.
Thank you for your continued support, passion, and belief in the power of community through the arts.

Sincerely,
Lindsay Boreham
President, Coolum HeARTs Inc.
