Happy New Year to All our Coolum HeARTs members, family, friend, Carers, Agencies and valued supporters.

As we move toward another vibrant year at Coolum HeARTs, I am delighted to share an update on the positive activity, generosity, and community spirit that continues to define our organisation.

We would also like to advise that we now have an amazing new Activity operating out of the North Shore Community Centre – Tempo Troupe – a vibrant celebration of music held each Tuesday from 10-30am for 3 hours, with a lunch break @ 12-30. Kellie has run this activity for the past 9 years with the support of Mark (who is our Choir Tutor) and will continue on with TT assisted by our own Diane Garland. Our Story – The Heart of Coolum HeARTs

Coolum HeARTs Inc. was established to create an inclusive, creative space where community, culture, wellbeing, and the arts could flourish together. Born from a shared passion for connection through creativity, Coolum HeARTs has grown from a small grassroots initiative into a respected community arts organisation serving the wider Sunshine Coast. From workshops, exhibitions, and markets to wellbeing programs and major community celebrations, our purpose has always been simple yet powerful: to bring people together and strengthen our town through participation in the arts. Over the years, volunteers, artists, facilitators, sponsors, and supporters have built Coolum HeARTs into a vibrant hub that nurtures creativity at every stage of life. Today, Coolum HeARTs continues to evolve while staying true to its founding values of inclusivity, collaboration, and community wellbeing.

Community Support & Correspondence

  • A generous $400 donation from The Shoplifters

  • Another generous donation of $2,000 from Mt Coolum Golf Club Ladies committee

  • Generous donations from Haven Real Estate, Greg Packer and InSight

  • Notice from Coolum Surf Club that its Community Fund is temporarily suspended during recovery

  • Australia Day Awards application submitted and invitation to attend ceremony on 23rd January

 

Programs, Activities & Workshops

  • Term 1 2026 commences Tuesday 27 January and runs for nine weeks to 2 April

  • Holiday workshops include Mosaics, clay modelling and Rock Painting workshops

 

Events & Community Engagement

  • Christmas Community Lunch was a great success with strong volunteer support – a huge THANK YOU to all those who assisted with this annual event

  • Twilight Markets now over for the year. Many THANKS to all those who volunteered on the various shifts. We hope to continue in collaboration with Coolum Beach Lions Club

 

Membership Growth

  • New memberships being finalised including several community agencies
